NBPS Alumni Association

On 23rd March 2024, the NBPS Alumni Association launched an initiative to build a state-of-the-art digital library at Nyandarua Boarding Primary School. The library will give pupils high-quality resources and new learning opportunities, and will be open to the wider community in Laikipia and Nyandarua counties.
The association aims to raise over Ksh 70 million from its members, current students and well-wishers to turn the vision into reality.
I am proud to witness the growth of the alumni community throughout the past 13 years. This visionary project will offer endless opportunities for thousands of students and the local community.
Learning for the digital era
Association chairperson Jacob Mugeni says the project will align the region with the government's efforts to improve digital skills and drive grassroots innovation. The library is designed to provide top-quality educational tools and resources, preparing pupils and the community to succeed in the digital era.
The school's headteacher, Mr. Charles Mbugua, welcomed the project and stressed the importance of making a digital library part of the school's infrastructure, saying it will equip pupils with the skills they need in an increasingly digital world.
With its wide range of resources and accessibility, a digital library surpasses physical limitations, offering students limitless opportunities for learning and exploration.
Delivering on schedule
Project lead Miss Magdalene Wanjugu is committed to making sure every part of the project is carefully carried out and delivered on time. Pupils at the school are already looking forward to the library and the change it will bring to how they learn.
The association, formed in 2010, has a long record of supporting education at NBPS, including paying school fees for needy but bright pupils.
